Frequently Asked Questions
-
All wedding dates are considered available and FCFS until I have a signed contract and deposit. I require a $1000 non-refundable retainer to secure your date. This blocks off your date on my calendar for you and only you! Woo!
-
Each camera I shoot with is writing 2 copies of your images to 2 separate memory cards. This ensures that if one of the cards happens to be corrupt, there will be a backup copy! Once I get your images home, they are immediately copied onto my computer which then creates a 3rd copy and my computer is continuously backing up all of its data to a cloud service called back-blaze. Your images are so important to me to keep safe!
-
My best advice here is to always have a backup plan, especially if you are getting married in an outdoor venue. There are clear tents that can be used for reception spaces, too! Always ask your venue what their backup plan. Of coarse we want to do everything possible to go with plan A, but it will ease your mind to know there is a plan in the case of rain.
Lastly- let your story unfold as it does. We cannot control the weather, unfortunately. Don't be afraid to get a little wet for a few portraits. Those under-the-umbrella shots can be so romantic

Great question! Necessary, no. Recommended, YES! It is a great way for us to get to know one another and also to ease the stress of being in front of the camera. All of my couples have told me how much better they felt after our session together going into a wedding day full of photos. PLUS you get a bonus gallery of beautiful images to display at your wedding at a discounted rate.

This is my worst nightmare! It has not happened, but if for some reason it did I have an extensive group of amazing photographers that I can reach out to in that case. My second photographer scheduled for your date will be the one to take the lead and I will find a second shooter to take his/her place. You will be in great hands!!
-
You will receive an online gallery of all of your images! You are free to download and print from the gallery site or at any print store of your choice. Please don’t screen shot your images! It really compromises the quality.
-
I get this question all the time. Your gallery is available for as long as I continue to pay for my service. That being said, it is still up to you to be sure you download and save your images on multiple platforms. I recommend putting them on a USB drive as well as an online storage such as Google Drive or Amazon photos.
-
After the initial deposit of $1000, the remainder of the package is split into 3 equal parts and spaced out evenly leading up to the big day. Your final payment is due 30 days prior to your wedding date.
-
Cash, Check, PayPal, Zelle or Credit Card!
-
Please, please, please download and save your images in multiple places! I always recommend saving on a USB, computer, phone, etc. AS WELL AS an online storage site. Amazon photos, google photos, dropbox and smug mug are all great choices.

11 years! My first wedding was in 2013! While I continued to learn, I still worked as a graphic designer at a local sign shop. It wasn't until 2016 that I jumped in full time. I am so glad I did, this career choice has been an absolute pleasure!
-
I wish I had an exact count, but I would estimate 250+ beautiful days! I average 25-30 weddings per year now that I am well established.
-
I will carefully sort through and edit the best images from our time together! You will receive the edited, high resolution jpeg images in your final gallery.
-
Approximately 75 photos per hour of coverage will be delivered in your final wedding gallery. That being said, I do not limit it to that number, if more images are required to tell your story then I include them!
-
Your full wedding gallery take up to 10 weeks, but usually around 4-6 weeks is my average turn around. You will receive an extensive teaser gallery within the first week following your wedding, though! Plenty to help hold you over until the full reveal!

NEWBORN / MATERNITY
Frequently Asked Questions
-
1-2 months prior to when you'd like to take the photos will ensure that I have plenty of availability.
-
Usually around 32 weeks is the sweet spot where your belly is cute, round and noticeable and you haven't hit that uncomfortable stage of your pregnancy. Everyone is different, though, so this can be adjusted if you want to be larger, etc.
-
Flowy dresses or skirts look great on camera. I love how they bring movement to a photo, and they're also so flattering. It is also fun to incorporate a second outfit that shows your bare belly! Crop tops with jeans or an open front dress is a great option! As for colors, I love neutrals - white, tans, even blues and pastels. I find that bright colors such as oranges, pinks, reds tend to reflect on skin tones. If you're having your family in the photos, I always say it's important to coordinate, but not match. (Avoid putting everyone is the same outfits, i.e. white shirt and jeans)
-
Of couse! I always begin by asking what your vision/style is that you are going for and then offer some suggestions from there.
-
I bring along a few things including a basket or two, a fluffy white blanket and a couple wrap/headband options. I keep my newborn sessions very simple and love to focus more on the interactions of the family with the new addition!
-
Within the first 2 weeks is ideal, usually around the 5-9 day old mark is great. I also understand that there are many variables, such as premature birth or c-sections that may allow for more flexibility. I just ask that you let me know once baby is here so we can choose a date as soon as possible to be sure you have a spot on my calendar!
-
I try to schedule in-home newborn sessions in the late morning or early afternoon to allow for the most natural light in the home.
-
Most of the time I will come to you and the session will take place in the comfort of your own home! Occasionally, families will choose to do the photos in an outdoor location.
-
This will depend greatly on the lighting throughout your home, but the most common spaces are the nursery, living room and master bedroom.
-
I will sort through and choose the best images to edit and deliver.

Frequently Asked Questions
-
Weekend availability is slim, so if you require a weekend date I recommend booking 2-3 months in advance. Weekday sessions are more readily available and can be booked with less notice.
-
Yes, I always respect privacy requests!
-
Yes! I have a styling guide that I can share that is extremely helpful! I always urge clients to send me photos if they need some help deciding between items!
-
We will watch the weather closely on the day of our session. Weather in Florida can change so fast, so I like to make a final call about 2 hours prior to our meeting time. This will vary depending on how far we are traveling and whether you have hair/makeup appointments scheduled. If we decide it is best, there is no charge to reschedule.
-
I can touch up blemishes, scars, balding, etc, but I believe in embracing your natural beauty. I will position you in flattering ways during our shoot, but I will not edit to make your waist or arms (etc) smaller.
-
All sessions are edited and deliver within 7 days.
-
The specific time varies throughout the year based on the sunrise/sunset time, but I love to plan to meet at sunrise or 1-2 hours prior to sunset for the most optimal lighting. This can be discussed if your schedule is not conducive to that time, but a different location may be recommended to allow for some shade.
-
Yes! You will receive a edited gallery of plenty of images. From there you will choose the images to download (amount varied based on the package you purchased). If you can’t narrow it down, you can always upgrade your package or purchase more digitals.
